Great restaurant. My husband had prime rib that was fork tender. I had white fish with asparagus, crab meat, and hollandaise sauce. Delicious. The bread was homemade. Salad was crisp and fresh. Will go back for sure. Price reasonable, $40 for two.

Service was lousy. Food was rated great online but left much to be desired. My lettuce was brown in my salad and the cucumbers tasted as if they'd been frozen and then unthawed. My husband and I went there for a romantic anniversary dinner but left unsatisfied. The bread? Not great. Dipping oil? Tasted like cheap olive oil, the $3 a bottle kind from the grocery store. Hubby had the filet mignon and said it wasn't great...even tho it was the special....oh wait, there were like 10 specials. I had the manicotti okay but not the best. Additionally, the menu said it was stuffed shells but I got stuffed long pieces of noodle resembling rolled up tortillas. Best part of the meal? The chocolate cake was great! But for $43, we could've had great cake and a MUCH better meal elsewhere.

Four dinners and four big hits! The Tuscan Chicken Dip appetizer was great. Bread was warm & fresh. We had Shrimp & Scallop Carbonara, Veal & Chicken Picatta and a Chicken Parm. Each more delicious than the one before. So yummy and such reasonable prices. What a great find!!!

I have been here several times at lunch and a few times during dinner. The food is good. The lunch portions can be small depending on what you order. The caesar salad is wonderful!

One of the best places to eat in the St. Louis, area. Food quality is excellent and the service is terrific. Save room for the desserts, they are fabulous. Good value for the dollar.

Delicious gem hiding in St.Louis! Chicken Marcella is excellent. Good service, just a good place to eat that you might not ever notice driving down M46.

This is a good Italian place in Alma. Not many places unless you go to mt. pleasant. Wouldn't eat there all the time but if you want something different that's still good. This is your place. Big portions not bad priced.

Excellent Italian food!! Good service and good drinks. You cannot leave without trying the Strawberry Cheesecake, a serving big enough to take a to go box! My family comes here often and we are never disappointed.

I was in town visiting family and had dinner here. It was absolutely wonderful. Both the service and the food were excellent. Had the Caesar salad (with the balsamic drizzle) to start, followed by the twin filets.

My GF and I have had take-out from here often, and always have great experiences. The food is ready soon, staff is friendly, and food is excellent. Two thumbs up from this guy

I was in town for a business trip and we decided on Italian. We came across Francesco's and boy are we glad we did! Stellar service, fabulous food, plentiful portions, and delicious desserts. If I ever come back here on business, I will definitely remember Francesco's. Who knows, maybe we'll return before we go home!

Francesco's is in about the last place you'd expect to find a restaurant, let alone an excellent Italian restaurant. I have never had anything there that wasn't short of amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't one of the best Italian places in the state. You need to go here.

Went here again 8/13/12 and it didn't disappoint! I didn't stray from the chicken piccata because it's so good! My husband ordered the seafood tortellini and he LOVED it! Fresh shrimp and scallops in a great sauce. The dipping oil/herbs was so delish as usual!

Pretty good Italian restaurant. I am a local and eat here several times a year. Great wine prices and pretty good desserts. Pizza and pasta are both good. I think the prices are a little on the high side, but fair. Decent quantity. Menu could use some updating as we've tried almost everything. Excellent service.

Hands down the best restaurant in the Alma-Ithaca-St. Louis area! I am a college student, so I cannot say I get over here often (the prices are a tad bit high on a college budget), but the atmosphere is nice and the wait staff is super friendly! I am also Italian, and as anyone who knows an Italian, eats Italian, or has been in a fight with an Italian, we take our food very seriously. Francesco's is very acceptable Italian food. If you want to drive down to Okemos for mediocre, Americanized-"Italian" food at Olive Garden you can go right ahead, but here at Francesco's you will eat like an Italian! The portion sizes are super reasonable, the bread is delicious and it is by far the best place to go in the area for a nice night out on the town. A high recommendation!

I am from out of town. I have been to Francesco's twice and it hasn't disappointed. I have had the Italian Wedding soup, Fried Seafood, and Pasta Special. Very clean, friendly staff, tasty food, and nice inviting environment. I would recommend to others!

Good bread ( soft and herbal inside). Sauce is heavy but good. My pasta cabonara is rich with bacon flavor. I think de'lansandro in midland is better but if you want to try some place else give Francesco a try.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
